WordPress plugin

As part of some work for Talk About Local I have just developed a WordPress plugin using the API.

For this first version the plugin creates a single widget which shows the latest activity for your MP. I hope to add more in the future and if you have any suggestions, please add them to the comments below.

I made a demo video and wrote instructions on how to set the plugin up which have been posted over on the Talk About Local blog, as well as instructions on installing the plugin.

All that’s left to do now is download the plugin (ZIP).

    Hi Philip,

Great stuff – I love the plugin.

Here in Australia we have, which is a fork of TheyWorkForYou but for the Australian Federal Parliament. I just thought I’d let you know I’ve adapted your plugin so it works with OpenAustralia.

Thanks again for the plugin and thanks for the license that allows us to use it with OpenAustralia!

Sounds like a great plugin, but just tried to install this on my website and it doesn’t seem to work. No MPs are listed on the settings page and it doesn’t appear on the widgets page.

Would love to be able to get it working!

I have the same problem with no Mp’s showing. Please see the KwikChex Website, there is some synergy.

The link to the plugin does not resolve to a file. I get a 404, can it be made available again?

Hi Stuart, Sorry about that – no idea where it went! I’ve updated the above link to point to a newly uploaded plugin.

Note that the plugin is VERY old now and may not work well in the latest versions of WordPress. I’ll try to get it updated and submitted to soon.

Brilliant, I’ll give it a go and see how it goes. I did find a fork of it too, that is also a few years old 🙂
